Chess School Instruction

 

 

The chess school will be comprised of sessions in which students may play against each other and have their games analyzed by senior members. Alternatively they may also read their instructional chess books and ask questions of senior members to increase their understanding.

 

The chess school will require attendees to bring the following materials to each session:

  1. Chess Pieces/Boards
  2. USCF Score Sheets
  3. Chess Clocks
  4. Chess Instructional Book(s) of your choice

These material will be supplied by the CDA Chess Club at various meetings:

  1. Notebook Computer with chess programs designed to teach chess
  2. Beginning to advanced level chess instructional books to be borrowed and used in session only
  3. Group lessons consisting of players playing live games while instructors point out mistakes in game
  4. 3 Chess computers that can be used in session
  5. Play chess vs. the computer on the CDA Chess Club web site
